Wedding Budget Spreadsheet
Split your wedding budget across every category, track each vendor's quote and deposit, and see what is still due.
What's inside
One workbook, in Excel + Google Sheets. A wedding budget template that turns one total into a plan and keeps track of every vendor:
- Start here: five steps and what the colors mean.
- Dashboard: total budget, estimated total and how far over or under you are, paid so far, still to pay, cost per guest, days to go and items booked, with charts of plan against estimate by category and paid against still to pay.
- Settings: wedding date, total budget, guest count and the date you are looking from.
- Budget: 16 categories, each with a suggested share of the total you can change, the planned amount, estimated and actual cost, what is paid and what is left. A category over plan is flagged in red.
- Expenses: one row per item, with vendor, estimate, actual cost, deposit, other payments, balance due, due date and status (idea, booked, paid in full). Room for 200 items.
- Payments due: every unpaid balance, soonest first, with overdue and due-within-30-days flags.
- Sample check: a sample wedding with the answers worked out separately. Every row shows ✓ when the formulas are right.

Questions
Does it work in Excel and Google Sheets?
Yes. You get an Excel file (.xlsx) and a Google Sheets version. In Google Sheets you can share it with your partner or planner and both edit the same numbers.
Where do the suggested percentages come from?
They are a common starting split, with about a fifth for the venue and a 5% buffer. Every percentage is a yellow cell, so move money to what matters to you. A warning shows if they stop adding up to 100%.
Can I add my own categories?
Yes. There are 16 categories and room for 20. Rename any of them or fill the empty slots.
Does it track deposits and due dates?
Yes. Each item has a deposit, other payments and a due date. Payments due lists every balance still owed, soonest first, and flags anything overdue.
What if our total changes?
Change the total in Settings and every planned amount moves with it. You can also type your own planned amount for any category.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. If the template does not work for you, email [email protected] within 30 days of buying and you get your money back. See the refund policy.
